Entrustment of Personal Information Processing
Entrustment of personal information processing refers to the delegation of certain tasks to specialized contractors to provide smooth services to "Members." Personal information is processed only within the scope entrusted under the responsibility of the "Company." The "Company" carefully reviews whether the entrusted contractors have sufficient capabilities to protect "Members'" personal information.

의료AI' 휴런, 2년새 기업가치 17배 껑충

프리IPO 후 2000억 돌파, 내년 상장 목표 밸류 4000억
의료AI 진단기업인 휴런의 기업가치(밸류)가 2년 사이 17배 이상 껑충 뛰었다. 올 상반기 프리IPO를 끝낸 휴런의 밸류는 2000억원을 넘었다. 2년전 시리즈A 라운드 이후 120억원 수준이었던 것을 감안하면 짧은 시간 안에 기업가치가 급상승한 셈이다.
내년 IPO를 준비 중인 휴런의 상장 목표 밸류는 최소 3500억원이다. 뇌신경질환분야 의료AI 진단 시장에서 국내 최초로 미국FDA 승인을 받은 데 이어 유럽 CE 인증를 획득하며 기술력을 인정받았다.
◇시리즈A 120억 밸류 이후 급상승, 내년 IPO 목표
3일 관련 업계 따르면 내년 상장을 앞둔 휴런이 목표 기업가치를 3500억~4000억원으로 설정했다. 올 상반기 프리IPO를 마친 휴런의 밸류는 2050억원이었다. 프리IPO에는 아주IB투자가 150억원을 단독 베팅했다.
휴런은 시리즈A 이후 빠르게 성장해온 의료AI 진단기업으로 꼽힌다. 2019년 시리즈A라운드를 끝낸 휴런의 밸류는 120억원이었다. 이후 1년 만에 진행된 시리즈B 라운드에서 밸류는 600억원으로 상승했다. 불과 1년 만에 기업가치가 5배 성장한 셈이다.
2019년 시리즈A 이후 올 상반기 프리IPO까지 포함하면 2년 사이 휴런의 기업가치가 17배가 넘게 뛰었다. 메가인베스트먼트는 최근 시리즈A 당시 투자해 보유한 일부 지분을 매각해 원금 대비 11배가 넘는 금액을 회수하기도 했다.
현재 휴런의 투자자로 이름을 올린 VC는 아주IB투자, 메가인베스트먼트, HB인베스트먼트, 로그인베스트먼트, 한국성장금융투자운용, 한국투자증권 등이다. 아주IB투자는 VC본부에 이어 PE본부에서 후속 베팅하며 총 190억원을 집행했다. 메가인베스트먼트는 시리즈A에 이어 시리즈B까지 두 차례에 걸쳐 총 40억원을 투자했다.
지난 2년간 100억원대에서 2000억원대로 밸류가 급성장한 휴런은 상장을 앞두고 마일드스톤을 달성해 기업가치를 끌어 올릴 계획이다.
현재 한국투자증권을 주관사로 선정하고 IPO를 준비 중이다. 상장 루트는 기술특례 방식을 택했다. 휴런의 지난해 영업손실 규모는 34억원 수준이다. 연구개발에 영업비용의 3분2 이상이 지출된 것으로 파악된다. 지난해부터 향후 3년간 인건비를 포함한 운영비, 임상비용 등에 필요한 자금은 160억원대 수준으로 예상되며, 이는 시리즈B 라운드를 통해 충당한 상태다.
휴런은 이르면 올 하반기 기술성평가를 신청한 이후 내년 상반기 중 상장예비심사를 청구해 하반기께 코스닥 시장에 데뷔하는 게 목표다.
◇상용화 경쟁력 높아…밸류 상승 청신호
2017년 설립된 휴런은 뇌신경질환 전문 의료AI 진단기업이다. 창업자들이 공학박사인 기존 의료AI 기업과 달리 휴런은 국내 최초로 임상의(MD)가 주도적으로 설립했다는 게 큰 경쟁력으로 꼽힌다.
인적 네트워크를 적극 활용해 연구개발 데이터를 확보할 수 있는 데다 마케팅 측면에서도 보수적인 의료계에 접근하기가 상대적으로 용이하기 때문이다. 파킨슨 임상의 경우 국내 의료AI 기업 중 최대 규모인 10개 대학병원에서 임상을 진행할 수 있었던 것도 이 같은 이유에서다.
올해 초 국내 최초로 치매 분석보조 소프트웨어에 대해 미국 FDA 승인을 받은 것도 밸류를 높이는 데 긍정적 영향을 줬다는 분석이다. 휴런은 지난해 미국 FDA에 치매, 파킨슨, 뇌졸중 3개 질환에 대해 승인 절차를 진행했다.
전 세계 고령화로 인해 글로벌 시장에서 AI 진단기업에 대한 평가도 높은 상황이다. 올 하반기 나스닥 시장에 상장하는 미국 AI 진단기업인 하트플로우는 3조원의 가치를 인정받았다.
신의료기술, 보험수가 등재가 성공적으로 이뤄질 경우 빠르게 흑자 전환을 이룰 수 있다는 점도 향후 밸류를 높일 수 있는 요인이다.
휴런 관계자는 "보험수가를 받기 위해서는 인간이 할 수 없던 부분을 AI를 통해서 보여주고 이를 통해 진단능력을 향상시켜야 가능하다"며 "현재 의료AI 회사들의 SW는 모두 기존기술로 분류되어 있지만 휴런의 파킨슨 진단보조 소프트웨어는 인간이 볼 수 없었던 병소 부분을 AI를 통해 보여주고 진단까지 활용하는 것이 특징"이라고 말했다.
